From one man's dream to photographic reality
Respected Llanelli photojournalist, Terry Morris has spent his career working as a press photographer capturing important stories for regional and national press through strong news-focused photography. His passion for photography has taken him across the world; but it's time for a change. Terry is using his experience of capturing people and the stories behind them to create a new considered and artistic collection of portraits that creates excitement about photography as a visual art.
Explaining why he came up with the idea for the Cool Cymru Collection Terry said: "I studied the work of Bailey, Litchfield, O'Neill and Donavon and wanted to revive the declining art of capturing celebrities' personality in carefully crafted stills photography.
"This is about capturing the country's personality through our celebrities and their love of Wales and everything Welsh. I want to evoke emotion and debate through this Collection with real, raw images that tell a story about each personality rather than being manufactured to suit their marketing."
Terry's photography business is called Folio Photography and is based in Llanelli, Carmarthenshire. He is a member of the Royal Photographic Society and lives with his partner, Laura, a regional news journalist and new baby daughter, Sadie May.
